The Belgium Ghana Business Council – BGBC is an international organization with members and a network from the private and public sector with Headquarters located in the Economic capital of Belgium, the City of Antwerp, the world center of the Diamond industry and one of the largest Ports in the world, therefore Antwerp serves as a gateway to Africa and Belgium as a gateway to the EU and is a preferred HQ for international organizations/companies such as NATO.
The BGBC is committed to promote the trade and investment relations between the Kingdom of Belgium and the Republic of Ghana.
The BGBC promotes Ghana as an English speaking market ( French is also understood ) with a strategic advantage with the Port of Tema as a gateway to its neighboring countries and within the West-African region, a stable democracy and good infrastructure, which are two important factors for economic development.
According to the New York Times, Ghana is currently one of the fastest growing economies in Africa;
